VACANCY 1; Senior Global Partnerships Manager - Maternity

Core purpose of the job;



  • Plan International embarks on a new global strategy to transform the lives of 100 million children especially girls, Plan International seek to develop new and scale up strategic partnership opportunities to achieve transformation change for children.
  • The Global Partnership Team (GPT) is part of the Global Influencing and Partnerships Department (GIP) at Plan International’s Headquarters. The GPT works with Plan’s National Organizations and Country Offices to drive strategic engagement with the Private Sector, foundations, United Nations agencies and multilateral institutions to increase the influence and impact of the work of Plan International.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Global Partnerships, the Senior Global Partnership Manager will support the deployment of a private sector engagement strategy throughout the federation and will work with the plan offices to proactively secure and develop new partnership opportunities with the private sector and selected foundations. This will include efforts to mobilize Plan resources and coordination for Equal 2030 measures, an exciting multi-senatorial partnership focusing on gender data for advocacy and action, and identification and advancement of partnerships of the private sector to strengthen advocacy and transformation programs of the kind of Plan.
  • Core responsibility of the job is to;
  • Report to the Director, Global Partnerships
  • To succeed in this difficult and varied role, you will have a demonstrable record of successful partnerships with the private sector and other stakeholders, significant experience in fundraising, marketing and / or management In particular in the creation of large-scale enterprise partnerships and advanced knowledge of the international development sector and emerging trends in corporate responsibility.
  • Strong research, organizational and project management skills will be imperative, as will the ability to manage demanding workloads independently and on time.
  • Effective management of internal and external relationships, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead initiatives in several teams are essential.

Discipline Required;


  • Relevant experience relevant to fundraising, marketing and / or project management, including working with the private sector, particularly in the development of large-scale partnerships, ideally at the international level.
  • A demonstrative record of successful partnerships with the private sector and other stakeholders with detailed knowledge and technical knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of successful private sector partnerships and alliances and emerging trends in corporate responsibility.
  • Knowledge of current international development issues.

Skills:

  • High level communication skills, including interesting and informative public lectures.
  • Good leadership and supervisory skills, including coordination of group activities, ensuring that roles within project teams are clear and experience in managing individuals.
  • Ability to establish relationships with individuals and groups and maintain an effective network of individuals in the departments of the organization.
  • Effective management of internal and external relationships, often at the senior level.
  • Strong research, organizational skills, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Financial awareness demonstrated.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including fluent written and spoken English.

 Core responsibility of the job is;



  • For you to succeed in this challenging and varied role, you will have a demonstrable track record of successfully building partnerships with the private sector and other stakeholders, significant experience in fundraising, marketing and/or project management, particularly in creating large scale corporate partnerships and advanced knowledge of the international development sector and emerging corporate responsibility trends.
  • Effective external and internal relationship management, excellent communication skills and the ability to carry initiatives across multiple teams are essential. As MER-Specialist you will be responsible for developing a regional M&E Framework for the Lake Chad Response Programme, including the development of respective instruments and data collection tools to measure the impact of our programme as they are been developed.
  • Strong research, organizational and project management skills will be imperative as will the capacity to manage demanding workloads, independently and to deadlines.
  • Furthermore, you will support the M&E specialists at country level to improve DRM program quality and accountability through.
  • Enhancing MER capacity, networking and learning with regards to the Program Quality Policy.
  • Supporting and implementing high quality MER and Providing evidence for programme design, planning and effectiveness.
  • You will ensure that MER practices used within the Lake Chad countries are shared with the regional MERL network

 

Discipline Required;

 

  • A Master's Degree in Social Science or equivalent (demography, measurement, planning, monitoring & evaluation, development or humanitarian studies or related field is is preferred).
  • A proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, appraisal and researches, and general management knowledge is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of the international humanitarian system, international humanitarian standards such as Sphere, INEE, CPIE, CHS) is desirable.
  • You will also have strong skills in using Microsoft Office and other software applications relevant to MER like; MAXQDA, SPSS, epi-info, CSPro or similar in a perquisite.
  • Knowledge of the environment like the Lake Chad, trends, challenges, opportunities and implications to community development as well as social cohesion is plus.
  • Fluency in French and English both written and verbal is desirable
