1. Banco de Mexico - FIDERH

Fee status eligibility: Mexican nationals.
Warwick agreement: 10% tuition fee reduction to successful awardees.
Accepted departments: all subject areas at the University of Warwick are eligible for this programme with the exception of MBA, Centre for Applied Linguistics and the Institute for Employment Research.
Deadline: there are a number of calls for applications throughout the year and students should refer to the Banco de Mexico website for more information about deadlines.

2. CADRE SCHOLARSHIPS

Fee status eligibility: home and EU.
Value: covers Home/EU fees and an RCUK level stipend.
Accepted departments: all Faculty of Arts departments and Philosophy.
Deadline for applications: 19 January 2018. Applications are now open.
The Centre for Arts Doctoral Research Excellence (CADRE) is offering up to 13 fully-funded scholarships to the most outstanding home/EU PhD applicants in the Arts.

3. CANADIAN CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Fee status eligibility: overseas.
Value: £500 to £3,000.
Accepted departments: all departments.
Deadline: Not yet announced but likely in March 2018. The competition for entry in 2018/19 will be announced in November 2017.
The Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund provides awards ranging from £500 to £3,000 to Canadian men and women for academic and artistic study in the UK.

4. CENTRE FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY METHODOLOGIES - BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies has a number of bursaries and scholarships available to Masters Students. For 2018/19 academic year entry these will include a variety of full tuition fee and maintenance bursaries, as well as contribution to tuition fees only scholarships.

5. CENTRES FOR DOCTORAL TRAINING IN THE SCIENCES

6. CHANCELLOR'S INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

For 2018/19 entry there will be 25 Chancellor's International Scholarships available to be awarded to the most outstanding international PhD applicants.

7. CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.

10. DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY- STUDENTSHIPS

MA Bursaries
The Department of History will offer a number of Departmental MA Bursaries for 2017/18 admission to outstanding candidates. These will cover tuition fees at the Home/EU rate and provide a stipend of approximately £10,000. The closing date for the first round of applications is 18 January 2017 and for the second round 24 March 2017. Candidates who submit a University admisssion application by these dates will be automatically considered for an award. (No separate application is required.)

11. DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The Department is pleased to announce that it will be awarding a number of scholarships to outstanding doctoral candidates applying for October 2017 admission. The awards will cover Home/EU fees and provide an annual stipend at the standard RCUK rate. These scholarships are available to both Home/EU and overseas candidates applying for full-time study in any field suitable for supervision by the Department. In order to be considered for a departmental doctoral award, you must submit a University online application form by 18 January 2017.

12. DEPARTMENT OF POLITICS AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES - SCHOLARSHIPS

13. PAIS DEPARTMENTAL MA SCHOLARSHIPS

There are 8 scholarships available for students commencing MA study in Autumn 2018.
Value: The award will automatically be deducted from the winners' tuition fees.
Four £5,000 awards for Home or EU candidates.
Four £10,000 awards for overseas candidates.
Part-time candidates will be considered; successful part-time awards will be distributed evenly across both years of study (eg, £2,500 in each year for a Home candidate).
Deadline: Candidates must apply to the university and have paid their application fee no later no later than 27 April 2018 and must submit an application to the MA programme before submitting a scholarship application. Candidates must apply for the scholarship no later than 27 April 2018.

14. PAIS DOUBLE DEGREE SCHOLARSHIPS

There are 2 scholarships available for students proceeding to the second year of eligible Double Degree programmes in PAIS in 2018.
Value: This scholarship is a maintenance grant to be paid in October of the second year on an eligible Double Degree:
Double Degree with Monash, American, Waterloo, NTU: £10,000
Double Degree with UPF: £5,000
Double Degree with Konstanz: not eligible

15. DEPARTMENT OF POLITICS AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES- STUDENTSHIPS

The Department of Politics and International Studies is pleased to announce a competition for PhD scholarships. These department-funded scholarships are aimed at any candidate starting their PhD in PAIS in October 2018, or any current PAIS PhD candidate in their first year of study. Because women are under-represented in this field, female candidates in particular are encouraged to apply.
Value: The studentships cover full tuition fees and an annual stipend at the standard RCUK rate.

17. ECONOMIC & SOCIAL RESEARCH COUNCIL (ESRC)

The University of Warwick is delighted to announce that the Open Competition for ESRC DTP funding under the new Midlands Graduate School (MGS) is now open for the first intake of students to begin in October 2017.
Warwick’s consortium partners in the MGS are Aston University, University of Birmingham, University of Leicester, Loughborough University, and University of Nottingham. The DTP offers 17 different training pathways that span various social science disciplines; several postgraduate studentships will be awarded annually across the pathways and institutions.
The deadline for applicants to submit their online application along with all attachments is Tuesday 24th January 2017. Students can only submit one funding application to the MGS DTP and cannot apply for pathway funding at multiple MGS DTP institutions. Applications are now closed.

19. FULBRIGHT-UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK AWARD

One Fulbright-University of Warwick Award will be offered to pursue a one-year Master’s degree programme (or the first year of a longer Master’s or PhD programme) in any subject.
Applications for 2018/19 will close on 6th October 2017, 17:00 Eastern Time.

20. GREAT - WARWICK UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS - INDIA 2017

The University of Warwick are proud to be offering FOUR scholarships as part of the GREAT Scholarships - India 2017 campaign.
The Scholarships for the 2017/2018 academic year are worth £12,000 each and are jointly funded by the GREAT Campaign and the University of Warwick.
Eligibility: To be eligible for an award you must:
- Be applying for a Masters course at the University to begin Autumn 2017.
- Be an Indian national, residing in India.
- Must not be in receipt of funding, either from Warwick or from another external funding body.

22. JAPAN- IMF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

A two-year program intended to help Japanese nationals obtaining PhD degrees in macroeconomics and preparing them to work as economists at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

23. LEVERHULME DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS 

The Bridges ProgrammeSix PhD Scholarships are available via The Bridges Programme. The programme aims to provide PhD students with deep knowledge of contemporary research questions in the social sciences, and rigorous training in the mathematical and computational approaches needed to answer them. This programme is open to students interested in any area of the social sciences (e.g., Economics, Psychology, Political Science, or Sociology) or mathematical sciences (e.g., Statistics, Complex Systems, or Computer Science), and who are interested in bridging the boundaries between these domains.

24. LEVERHULME POSTGRADUATE BURSARIES

Welfare Support bursaries available to the children, spouses, widows or widowers of chemists, grocers and commercial travellers.

25. LI XIAOMING SCHOLARSHIP

A scholarship for a one year taught masters in memory of Li Xiaoming.

26. MEDICAL RESEARCH COUNCIL (MRC)

A number of Medical Research Council-funded PhD studentships are available across Warwick Medical School and the School of Life Sciences through the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Doctoral Training Partnership (IBR DTP). The programme focuses on addressing important biomedical quesitons in the key areas of Quantitative Cellular Dynamics and Molecular Microbiology.

27. NATURAL ENVIRONMENT RESEARCH COUNCIL (NERC)

28. OFID SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 

OFID’s Scholarship Program sponsors outstanding young students from developing countries through graduate studies in a development-related discipline.

29. POSTGRADUATE LOAN SCHEME- MASTERS COURSES

Students applying for taught masters programmes starting in October 2018/19 can apply for a loan of up to £10,280 as a contribution towards course and living costs. Postgraduate Loans have to be paid back.

30. SAID FOUNDATION

The University is a partner organisation of the Saïd Foundation. The Saïd Foundation offer taught masters scholarships that aim to provide students who are recognised for their leadership potential with educational opportunities that will help their career development. Students must have an undergraduate degree of a high standard and be under 35 years of age.
Applications are restricted to candidates who are Syrian, Palestinian (including Palestinians inside Israel), Lebanese and Jordanian.

31. SASAKAWA JAPANESE STUDIES POSTGRADUATE STUDENTSHIP

The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation have announced the fourth year of their Sasakawa Japanese Studies Postgraduate Studentship Programme, which is designed to support Japanese Studies in the UK. The University of Warwick can nominate up to three applicants for these studentships.
It is essential that these studentships are awarded to those whose focus is on Japanese studies.

32. SCHOOL OF LAW - PHD SCHOLARSHIPS

The School of Law is offering two scholarships for students who wish to research in the areas of contracts, trusts or property, for entry in October 2017.
Value: These Scholarships are funded for three years and will cover full tuition fees and offer an annual maintenance stipend in line with RCUK standard rates (£4,121 and £14,296 - current rate for 2016/2017) and are open to Home/EU students only. A formal application for PhD study must have been made before expressing an interest.

33. SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES (SLS) EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

Value: Up to five School of Life Sciences (SLS) Excellence Scholarships will be awarded as a 50% reduction of course fees.
Deadline: Two application deadlines will apply - 12 February 2018 and 30 May 2018
Eligibility: Before applying, applicants should have an offer to study on a School of Life Sciences full-time MSc course starting October 2018. Further detailed criteria is provided on the web-page linked.

34. SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FACILITIES COUNCIL (STFC)

35. THE CALLUM MACDONALD MEMORIAL BURSARY

The Callum MacDonald Memorial Bursary supports postgraduate students at the University of Warwick undertaking a specific research project on a historical theme.
The Warwick History Department will award up to FIVE bursaries of up to £750 each in honour of Professor MacDonald and to mark the Twentieth Anniversary of his death.
