The night of the All Africa Music Awards 2017 edition was real an exciting palace to be last night. As expected, Wizkid the star arrived late at the All Africa Music Awards 2017 edition, and his entry sent the sold-out crowd into frenzy. Who has taken the music world by storm with his all-time hit track “Holla at your Boy’’ in 2010 and another hit track “Ayo’’ in 2014, has finally emerge the winner again with three major awards: Best West African Artiste award, The Song of the Year and the Artiste of the year, trumping the likes of Davido, Runtown, Tekno and others.

One of the members of Afrima from Cameroon named “Ekukole,” said that; Afrima Awards 2017 Nominees are thoroughly vetted before picking up. In like manner, he said that; the nominees were picked based on production quality, talent and creativity, melody, originality and authenticity, composition and arrangement.

As a matter of fact, it has to do with the quality of music not on the number of views from any online video platform. Some songs from certain regions have more than half a billion views and would have garnered the awards based on such sentiment, but it is not so. It has to do with quality, he emphasized.
