As a matter of facts, the ideal successful candidate would be required to provide the Client with cost management services leading to efficient and effective project cost control not limited to monitoring and controlling the delivery of project activities to ensure control of project expenditure within budget and approved appropriation by developing and implementing cost control processes, baselines and contingency management framework, and project cost status reporting in a pro-active approach that ensures timely solutions of potential problems and ultimately contribute to achievement of Cost Leadership in the management of PD CAPEX projects and budget.

  • Job location; Bonny Island, Rivers State 

Core purpose of the job is to;

As a matter of facts, the ideal successful candidate would be required to provide total cost management services including preparation of cost work breakdown structure, cost estimating, post projects contract cost management and cost control support to aid management make informed decisions at various value assurance gates, minimize successful contractual claims, achieve value for money, contribute to company’s good corporate image, meet projects objectives and ultimately contribute to achievement of Cost Leadership in the management of PD CAPEX projects and budget.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Value Engineering: Evaluate different design proposals and establish optimum cost and challenge contractors bids as may be necessary and provide details of cost, quantities, and work hours for cost benchmarking to achieve value for money and Cost Leadership for the Client’s CAPEX Projects.
  • Cost Estimating Database: Develop and maintain up-to-date cost database for the preparation of accurate cost estimates for Client’s CAPEX budget planning, project screening and investment decisions to achieve value for money and Cost Leadership for the Client’s CAPEX Projects.
  • Payment and Certification: Develop and agree valuation schedules and implement valuation of project work done, prepare variation accounts and timely/quality payment certificates and final accounts for all Client’s CAPEX Projects to achieve effective project contract cost management and budget performance.
  • Cost Estimating: Produce timely and quality cost estimates/Bills of Quantities/MTOs for the Client’s CAPEX budget planning, project screening and investment decisions in line with Departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve value for money and Cost Leadership for the Client’s CAPEX Projects.
  • Project Contracting: Develop Enquiry Schedules of Rates, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Time Resources, Bills of Quantities and Materials Take –Off (MTO) for CAPEX projects to achieve a standard, uniform and consistent bid document to Client’s Contract & Procurement Department (CPM) to facilitate effective and common basis for job pricing by vendors, ensure efficient, transparent and auditable bid analysis and support effective post contract management of Capex projects..
  • Project Contracting: Develop tender analysis models for schedule of rates contracts to aid management’s decision to award call-off contracts and ultimately achieve value for money.
  • Management of Change: Contribute to projects change management process by analyzing trends and potential change impact on project cost, assessing, negotiating and agreeing valuation of variations (change orders) with contractors and advise project leaders in respect of raising financial commitments and obtaining authorities for variations to achieve proper project cost control and value for money.
  • Cost Control: Maintain a database of all current projects contracts, including current site estimates, original, current and forecast final status in respect of cost and progress to ensure consistency, integrity, quick retrieval of cost
  • Information to keep cost within approved budget.

Desired qualification 


The right candidate should possess the following:


  1. B.Sc. in Engineering/Quantity Surveying. Membership of any relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years post-graduation experience, 2 of which should have been in projects in an oil or gas industry.

  • Job location; Bonny Island, Rivers State 


Core purpose of the job is to;


As a matter of facts, the ideal successful candidate would be required to develop, manage and maintain a centralized planning and scheduling system for the overall Client’s CAPEX Projects Portfolio that will ensure effective schedule control, facilitate project delivery within established targets and provide key information for management reporting to achieve Departmental KPI’s.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Project Planning and Schedule Control


  • Assist in the provision of project management support in the development of the Client’s Projects Portfolio activities, resources planning leading to the creation of the Overall Project Portfolio baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance to achieve schedule performance.
  • Maintain the overall Project Portfolio Schedule at levels 1 to 5 required to develop and execute each approved project in their hierarchy relationship to meet the Client’s projects’ requirements.
  • Develop and update the planning and schedule procedures to ensure sustainable and continuous improvements in line with the Client’s Quality Management System requirements.
  • Assist in carrying out schedule control activities to monitor physical progress against key deliverables and track trends on schedule over-run and underrun to identify timely corrective actions for the achievement of schedule performance targets.
  • Assist in providing monthly progress updates; forecast completions, together with the critical path and trend analysis as input to management reporting to reflect how Client’s project objectives are being achieved.
  • Assist to evaluate bid schedules and review contractor execution plan and develop the key milestone dates for critical projects for alignment with the overall integrated Project Portfolio Schedule. Verify that the contractors reported progress is correct and accurately reflected in the overall Project Portfolio integrated schedule for accurate management reporting.
  • Assist to review scope change requests for the impact on schedules and the critical path of the project and prepare reconciliations between earlier schedules and the current schedule and provide schedule impact assessments to change control process for accurate progress monitoring.
  • Assist in performing risk and sensitivity analysis on project schedule or critical path analysis and evaluate impact on overall Project portfolio plan.


Desired Qualification 


The right candidate should possess the following:


  1. HND/B.Sc degree in Engineering or Sciences or any other certification required for the job.
  2. 5-7 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, of which at least 3 years in a project planning role in oil and gas industry.

Desired Qualifications


The right candidate should possess the following:


  1. B.Sc degree in engineering discipline.
  2. 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, of which at least 5 years in a planning role in oil and gas industry. An understanding of contracting strategy, project optimization processes, construction constraints are prerequisite for the job. Extensive skills in the use of Primavera planning tool is mandatory. Ability to work across international/cultural boundaries.
